Chakras Basics: Your One Meter Way to Success in all Areas of Life
Once disciples asked a Tantric Master: how long is the way to enlightenment? His answer was: it is slightly over one meter. This distance is the length of the human spine from the tail bone to the crown of head. This is the distance Kundalini energy travels from Muladhara chakra to Sahasrara chakra, from the lower natural instincts to the higher Cosmic conscious.
Modern people know this Sanskrit word thanks to Yoga and Tantra traditions penetration to the Western society. The Chakras Knowledge is not just an abstract theory, it is the key to harmony and well-being and prosperity: from the physical being, relationship, business success to manifestation of the higher psychic abilities. Let’s have a look at the subject in more detail.
The word Chakra translates like a wheel or a disc. Chakras – are whorls of information and energy located in the human spine. Yoga and Tantra mainly talk about seven basic Charkas, although the real number is considerably larger.
Seven basic Chakras location in the human body:
| Muladhara | Tail Bone |
|---|---|
| Swadhistana | Underbelly Area |
| Manipura | Solar Plexus |
| Anahata | Heart Area |
| Vishuddha | Throat and Neck Area |
| Ajna | Third Eye Area |
| Sahasrara | Crown of Head |
Chakras are the receivers and the transmitters of various frequencies energy flows. These energies connect a person with various planes of the being from the physical to more subtle ones.
Just as sun light, which is not homogenous and consists of 7 colours, the whole human energy system consists of seven levels or bodies. Besides the physical body we also have six subtle (energy) bodies. Each of these bodies (and the related Chakra) are responsible for a certain aspect of our lives.
Muladhara: physical body: physical health
Swadhistana: etheric body: reproduction, relationships
Manipura: vital body: wealth, business activities
Anahata: astral body: emotions
Vishuddha: mental body: creative self – expression
Ajna: causal body: mind, cognition, life goals
Sahasrara:nirvanic body: higher mental abilities
Hindu tradition compares Chakras with Lotus flower: the roots are in the ground, the stem is in the water and the flower itself is in the air, receiving the sun light.
The same principle applies to Chakras. Their roots are in the organs and the glands of the physical body. The stems are the nerves and etheric channels (Chinese meridians) and the flowers are in the astral plane receiving the energy.
The distortion of Chakra’s work brings up issues in related areas of life. For example Manipura distortion means complications in business and career. Swadkhistana work distortion brings lack of satisfaction in relationships area. As a consequence of work distortion are the maladies and diseases of those organs and glands related to relevant Chakras.
