Tantra Yoga: Devakan

Thanks to this powerful approach we can bring future result of spiritual evolution to the now. Identifying yourself with the avatars of Gods and Goddesses is an ancient and one of the most effective Tantric methods.

Prithvi

Squat down with the knees apart, press your elbows against the floor.

This is the  pose of Prithvi – the Goddess of Earth.  Concentrate your attention on the tailbone area and experience the Earth features - feel how the state of calmness, patience, endurance and constancy is coming to you. 

Concentrate on your musculoskeletal system, feel the weaves of healing energy surging to your muscles, bones and tendons. Prithvi reigns in the world of living creatures. She is the Goddess of inertia, tamas.

Varuna

Slowly sit down, put your feet together and positioning them as close to your body as possible. Lean on your palms behind your body, bend backwards and throw back your head.  

This is the pose of Varuna – the God of water, the king of Bhuvarloka – the world of dreams. Concentrate your attention at the bottom of stomach and feel the state of friendliness, attractiveness and harmony. These are the qualities of the God of Water. Feel the healing energy spreading to your kidneys, genital system and mammary glands. 

Agni

Slowly straighten your legs and lift them from the floor, put your hands on the sides, hold forearms and palms sideward. Keep the balance pressing buttocks against the floor especially on sacrum area.

This is the pose of Agni – the God of Fire, the lord of Svarloka.

Concentrate your attention on solar plexus and experience the qualities of the God Agni: resoluteness, indefatigability, and aspiration for superiority. Feel the fire element inside you – the energy and the power. Healing effect is spreading to your liver, stomach, spleen and pancreas. 

Vayu

Slowly change position to kneeling seat. Move your left leg behind the back, grip it and try to clasp the heel against the sacrum area.

This is the pose of Vayu – the God of Air, the lord of Mahatloka populated with fairy creatures leaving in paradise.

Focus your attention in the center of your chest. Slowly change the position: move your right leg behind the back and try to press the heel against the sacrum area. Experience the qualities of air: good nature, balance and compassion. Feel the healing influence on your heart and lungs. 

Indra

Slowly move down your leg and pass to kneeling seat. Put your right leg over the left one and place the right feet on the floor by the left side of your body, right knee is over the left one. Raise your right hand up, bent it on the knee and look arms behind the back.

This is the pose of Indra – the God of Ether, the lord of Janaloka – the world of knowledge and the higher Gods. Focus your attention at the area of Vishuddha chakra (the bottom of neck). Slowly change your position to the opposite one. Sit on the right knee, put the left leg over the right one and place left feet by the right side of body. Raise the left hand up, bent it on the knee and look your arms behind the back.

Feel the qualities of Ether: charm, refinement and devotion. Healing effect is spreading to thyroid gland, tonsils and whole neck area.  

Shiva

Slowly change the pose. Sit down. Arm your legs and press them to the chest, put your head on the knees. Concentrate your attention at the third eye area.

This is the pose of Shiva – the God of Time, the king of Tapoloka – the world of Eternity. Find in yourself the qualities of Shiva: clairvoyance, will, consistency of aim. Healing influence is spreading to the head, eyes and brain. Attention is slowly moving to hypophysis area in the center of the head. 

Brahma

Slowly sit with your legs crossed or lotus pose. Put your right palm on the crown of the head, left palm put on the right one and start doing rotatory movement at the area of the head-crown.

This is the pose of God Brahma – the king of Satyaloka, the world of higher consciousness. Feel inside you the qualities of Brahma: wisdom, estrangement and omniscience. Energy is accumulating in the conarium – through this place your body unites with the body of Universe. Breathe deep and calm. Your body is completely relaxed. Inhale and with exhale move your hands down and put them on the knees. Totally relax and stay beyond of all images and conceptions, concentrate on nothing. Let your consciousness dissolve in the emptiness.
